Media One Hotel, a well-known name in Dubai’s hospitality scene, is currently hiring an experienced and guest-focused Waiter to join its Food & Beverage team. What You’ll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests with warmth and professionalism, presenting menus, and offering knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage items. You’ll take orders accurately, relay them to the kitchen and bar, and ensure everything is served promptly and correctly. Throughout service, you’ll check in on tables, anticipate guest needs before they have to ask, and handle any requests or concerns calmly and efficiently.
Beyond direct guest interaction, you’ll also be responsible for setting up and resetting tables to the hotel’s standards, maintaining cleanliness across your section, and processing bills accurately at the point of sale. During busier periods such as brunches, private events, or peak dinner service, you’ll be expected to stay composed under pressure while keeping the same level of attentiveness for every guest.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have at least one to two years of experience working as a waiter or in a similar F&B service role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant setting. Strong spoken English is required, and any additional languages are considered an advantage given Media One’s diverse international clientele.
Candidates should be well-groomed, punctual, and comfortable working on a rotational shift schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as is standard in hospitality. A genuine passion for service, a calm temperament during high-pressure moments, and a natural ability to read guest needs will set you apart from other applicants.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage pairings, allergen awareness, and point-of-sale systems is helpful, though on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate. Most importantly, Media One Hotel is looking for someone who treats hospitality as more than a job — someone who takes real satisfaction in making a guest’s day a little better.
