Cloud Restaurant is looking for a skilled and personable Barista to join its front-of-house team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine love for coffee craft, enjoys interacting with customers, and wants to work in a lively restaurant environment where quality and consistency behind the espresso machine really matter.
Cloud Restaurant has built a loyal customer base around its relaxed atmosphere and quality food and beverage offering, and the coffee program is a key part of that identity. As a barista here, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for guests each day, setting the tone for their entire visit with the quality of your coffee and the warmth of your service.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your main responsibility will be preparing a full range of coffee and beverage items — espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, specialty beverages, and cold drinks — to a consistent, high standard using proper technique and correct measurements. You’ll be expected to operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, ensuring equipment is cleaned and calibrated throughout the day for consistent quality.
Beyond drink preparation, you’ll take orders at the counter or table, process payments accurately through the point-of-sale system, and manage the flow of orders during busy periods without letting quality slip. You’ll also be responsible for keeping your station stocked, organized, and clean, rotating stock such as milk and syrups, and reporting any low inventory to management in good time.
A big part of the role is customer interaction — greeting guests warmly, offering recommendations on drinks or seasonal specials, and handling any questions or concerns with patience and professionalism. During peak hours, you’ll need to work efficiently while keeping a friendly, unhurried tone with each customer.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have at least one year of experience working as a barista in a café, restaurant, or hotel setting, with a solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and basic latte art. That said, candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and a genuine willingness to learn proper coffee technique may also be considered.
Good spoken English is required for clear communication with guests and team members, and a friendly, approachable manner is essential, since this is very much a people-facing role. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods, working efficiently during rush hours, and staying composed when the counter gets busy.
Basic cash-handling and POS experience is helpful, and a genuine interest in coffee — beyond just making it quickly — will help you stand out. Reliability and punctuality matter here, since consistent staffing behind the counter directly affects service speed and customer satisfaction.
