Belcanto is currently hiring for three key positions: Mixologist, Hostess, and Waiter. Belcanto has built a loyal following by combining traditional Italian recipes with a contemporary dining atmosphere, and the restaurant’s success depends on a front-of-house team that reflects that same balance of authenticity and polish. Each of these three roles plays a distinct but equally important part in shaping the guest journey, from the moment someone walks through the door to their final sip of an expertly crafted cocktail.
Mixologist — Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare classic and signature cocktails to Belcanto’s quality and presentation standards
- Maintain full knowledge of the beverage menu, including wine and spirit pairings with Italian dishes
- Manage bar inventory, stock rotation, and supplier orders
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and compliant with UAE health and safety regulations
- Engage with guests at the bar, offering recommendations and building a memorable experience
- Train junior bar staff on techniques, recipes, and service standards
Hostess — Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Handle reservations via phone, email, and booking platforms
- Coordinate with servers and management to optimize table turnover during peak hours
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate accurate wait times to guests
- Ensure the entrance and reception area always presents a polished, professional first impression
- Address guest queries and special requests with grace and professionalism
Waiter — Key Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar
- Provide detailed menu knowledge and recommendations, including dietary and allergen guidance
- Deliver food and drinks with proper service etiquette and attentive table-side care
- Ensure tables are set, cleared, and reset to Belcanto’s presentation standards
- Process payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth, well-timed service
Requirements (All Roles)
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, or fine dining establishment is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a strong plus
- A polished, professional appearance and genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to remain composed and efficient during high-pressure service periods
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues across sections
- Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by restaurant operations
- Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred for immediate onboarding
