About the Role
W Dubai – The Palm is looking for a passionate and detail-driven Barista to join the LIV outlet, one of the property’s signature food and beverage venues. Key Responsibilities
Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems, and issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles with confidence and care. Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and related tools and equipment throughout each shift. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks and keep ice, glassware, and paper supplies fully stocked, transporting supplies to the bar set-up area as needed. Wash soiled glassware, remove used items from the bar top and tables, and anticipate and communicate replenishment needs to the wider team before shortages occur.
Process all guest payment methods accurately, count the bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, and securely drop off receipts. Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas, and complete all closing duties in line with hotel procedures. Follow all company safety and security policies, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to your manager, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
Beyond technical duties, you will represent the W Dubai brand in every guest interaction — welcoming and acknowledging guests warmly, anticipating their service needs, and expressing genuine appreciation. Clear, professional communication and strong teamwork are essential, as is maintaining a clean, professional appearance and protecting the confidentiality of company information at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), along with at least one year of related food and beverage or barista experience. No prior supervisory experience is required, and no specific license or certification is needed to apply. Physical readiness is important: the role involves standing or walking for extended periods, lifting objects up to 50 lbs, and moving through varied spaces including stairs, ramps, and narrow service areas.
