About the Role
Sofitel Dubai The Palm is hiring a warm, service-driven Waiter/Waitress for Manava, its all-day dining restaurant. Sofitel Dubai The Palm is a luxurious 5-star beachfront resort set on the East Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, blending touches of French elegance with a relaxed, tropical sanctuary just minutes from the buzz of the city. The resort features 360 contemporary guest rooms and suites, 182 serviced apartments, four ultra-luxury villas, a Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, and a wide variety of dining venues across seven restaurants, five bars, and lounges. This role puts you at the center of the guest dining experience in one of Dubai’s most scenic five-star settings.
Key Responsibilities
You will need to be thoroughly familiar with all food and beverage items on the Manava outlet menu, so you can guide guests confidently and answer questions about dishes, ingredients, and preparation. Before every shift, you will prepare the outlet for operation — completing mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables to Sofitel’s presentation standards, and carrying out light cleaning and other assigned tasks to keep the restaurant guest-ready at all times.
Day to day, you will greet and seat guests warmly, present menus, and take food and beverage orders accurately, relaying them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams. Serving food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation is central to the role, along with anticipating guest needs during busy periods and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor throughout service. You’ll also assist with stock checks, replenishing service stations, and supporting colleagues to keep the floor running smoothly during peak hours.
Strong teamwork is essential — this role works closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts, and supervisors to deliver Sofitel’s signature blend of French sophistication and genuine warmth. You will be expected to uphold hygiene, safety, and grooming standards at all times, representing the resort’s five-star reputation in every guest interaction.
What We’re Looking For
This is an entry-level opportunity, so candidates new to hotel food and beverage service are welcome to apply. What matters most is a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude under pressure, and the willingness to learn Sofitel’s service standards. Previous restaurant, café, or guest-facing experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
