Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitizing of all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish-washing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store all kitchen crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment
• Support kitchen teams by ensuring clean equipment is available and ready during peak service periods
• Assist with waste management, recycling procedures, and proper disposal in line with hotel policy
• Maintain organized storage of cleaning chemicals and kitchen supplies in compliance with safety standards
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Chief Steward or kitchen management
• Follow HACCP and food safety hygiene protocols at all times
• Support banqueting and large event kitchen operations as required
• Work collaboratively with culinary and stewarding colleagues to maintain a smooth kitchen workflow

Requirements

• Previous stewarding or kitchen support experience preferred, ideally within a hotel or large F&B operation
• Physical stamina to manage a demanding, fast-paced back-of-house environment
• Strong attention to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and care
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Good command of basic English for workplace communication
