Job Overview
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every customer. You will play an important role in maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and service excellence while supporting daily café operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
- Welcome customers warmly and provide professional, friendly service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of inventory requirements.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
- Assist in displaying products attractively and maintaining visual presentation standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow company procedures, operational guidelines, and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista, Café Assistant, or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage presentation is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a customer-first approach.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Good English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
