As a barista at Zaina, you will play a key role in shaping that experience through consistently excellent coffee and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty beverages to consistent quality standards.
- Master latte art and presentation techniques to enhance the customer experience.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments through the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station and workspace at all times.
- Handle and store coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients following proper food safety and hygiene standards.
- Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment on a regular basis.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management in a timely manner.
- Build genuine rapport with regular customers, contributing to the cafe’s warm, community-driven atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista in a cafe, coffee shop, or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art techniques.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to stay organized and efficient during busy morning and afternoon rushes.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
- A genuine passion for coffee culture and hospitality.
