About the Role

The Barista will be responsible for preparing a wide range of hot and cold beverages — including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, and seasonal menu items — to Katrina Sweets’ quality standards. You will also assist with light food and dessert service, maintain a clean and organized station, and contribute to a welcoming, café-style atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and seasonal drinks according to recipe standards
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other barista equipment
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and recommend menu items when appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, tools, and surrounding work area
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and inform management of shortages
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately through the POS system
• Support the display and presentation of cakes, pastries, and desserts at the counter
• Follow all UAE food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth, efficient service during busy periods

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, or bakery setting, preferably in the UAE
• Solid knowledge of espresso-based drinks and general coffee preparation techniques
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude with strong communication skills in English
• Ability to multitask and stay efficient during high footfall periods
• Well-presented, punctual, and reliable
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Valid UAE work permit or eligibility for employer sponsorship
