What You’ll Do

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage selections with confident menu knowledge.
• Take accurate orders and relay them clearly to the kitchen and bar, minimising errors and delays.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, following the restaurant’s service standards.
• Check in with guests throughout the meal, anticipate needs, and handle special requests or dietary concerns.
• Upsell appropriately — recommend specials, pairings, and add-ons without pressuring the guest.
• Process payments accurately and handle the point-of-sale system.
• Reset and prepare tables between guests, keeping the section clean and service-ready.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and host staff to keep service flowing smoothly during peak hours.
• Handle guest complaints calmly and professionally, escalating to a manager when required.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant, café, or similar F&B setting is preferred.
• A warm, professional manner with strong communication skills.
• Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage given the UAE’s diverse guest base.
• Physical stamina for a fast-paced, on-your-feet role, including carrying trays and moving between sections.
• A team mindset — restaurant service depends on smooth coordination with the kitchen, bar, and host stand.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by restaurant hours.
• A neat, professional appearance in line with Planet Terra’s service standards.
