What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and present espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and specialty drinks to Dorchester Collection quality standards
- Operate and maintain high-end espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, ensuring consistent calibration and hygiene
- Deliver warm, attentive, guest-first service that reflects the property’s luxury positioning at every interaction
- Manage stock rotation, milk and bean freshness, and waste control in line with cost and quality targets
- Support latte art, seasonal beverage launches, and menu tastings alongside the F&B and culinary teams
- Maintain full compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen colleagues to keep service flowing smoothly during peak hours
- Handle guest requests, dietary substitutions, and special orders with professionalism and accuracy
- Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and point-of-sale operations where required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience, ideally within a luxury hotel, fine-dining, or premium café environment
- Solid working knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and specialty coffee brewing methods
- A genuine passion for coffee craft, presentation, and continuous learning
- Strong spoken English; additional languages are an advantage given Lana’s international clientele
- Well-groomed, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced five-star setting
- UAE Food Safety / hygiene certification preferred, or willingness to obtain on hire
- Candidates already based in the UAE with a transferable visa will be prioritised, though outstanding overseas applicants are welcome to apply
