The Yard is expanding its team and is currently hiring across three key front-of-house roles: Barista, Waitress, and Runners. Barista — Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages and specialty coffee drinks to a consistently high standard.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, following proper cleaning and calibration routines.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable recommendations to guests on coffee and menu selections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee station at all times.

Waitress — Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly, presenting menus and offering thoughtful recommendations.
• Take accurate orders and ensure timely, attentive service throughout the guest’s visit.
• Handle billing and payments professionally, ensuring a smooth and pleasant close to each visit.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented section and support colleagues during busy periods.

Runners — Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guest tables promptly and accurately.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to ensure correct order delivery and timing.
• Assist with table clearing, resetting, and general floor support during service.
• Support the wider front-of-house team to keep service fast, smooth, and guest-focused.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a café or restaurant environment is preferred for all three roles, though enthusiastic candidates with strong potential are welcome to apply.
• A friendly, energetic personality with genuine guest-first service instincts.
• Ability to stay efficient, organized, and composed during busy service periods.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A strong sense of teamwork, hygiene, and attention to presentation.
