Hide Cafe, one of Dubai’s well-loved casual dining destinations, is expanding its front-of-house and kitchen teams. Hide Cafe is currently hiring for three roles: Assistant Chef, Waiter, and Barista. All positions are based in Dubai and open to candidates already residing in the UAE, as well as qualified overseas applicants.
1. Assistant Chef
The Assistant Chef supports the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining consistent plate quality across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. You’ll work station-by-station across hot kitchen, cold prep, and plating, while helping train junior kitchen staff and enforcing HACCP food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and dishes according to Hide Cafe’s standardized recipes
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and stock rotation (FIFO) standards
- Support the Head Chef during peak service and special events
- Monitor portion control and minimize kitchen wastage
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team on order timing and special requests
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience, ideally in a café or casual dining setting
- Basic food safety / HACCP certification preferred
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- UAE hospitality experience is an advantage
2. Waiter
As a Waiter at Hide Cafe, you’ll be the face of the guest experience — greeting customers, guiding them through the menu, and ensuring smooth, attentive table service from seating to bill settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and seat guests, present menus, and take accurate orders
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell where appropriate
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely order delivery
- Handle billing, payments, and guest feedback professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and setup of assigned station/tables
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of waitering experience, café or restaurant background preferred
- Strong spoken English; additional languages a plus
- Friendly, well-groomed, and guest-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays
3. Barista
Hide Cafe is known for its coffee program, and the Barista role is central to that reputation. You’ll prepare specialty coffee and beverages to brand standard while creating a welcoming counter experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty beverages to recipe
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders
- Manage coffee bar stock, cleanliness, and equipment calibration
- Deliver consistent quality and speed during high-volume periods
- Engage guests with product knowledge and recommendations
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year barista experience, specialty coffee background preferred
- Latte art skills are an advantage
- Positive, energetic personality suited to a fast-paced café floor
- Basic understanding of coffee origins and brewing methods
