About the Roles
EGAO Food Truck Concept is hiring for multiple positions to support its growing operations in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to join a food truck concept from an early growth stage, where team members have the chance to wear multiple hats, learn various aspects of the business, and grow alongside the brand. Positions may include cooks, food prep staff, cashiers, and general crew members responsible for day-to-day truck operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to EGAO’s recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency across every order
- Operate food truck equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, including prep areas, equipment, and serving stations
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards required for mobile food service operations
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating reorder needs to management
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service during busy service periods
- Assist with setup and breakdown of the food truck at different locations and events
- Support colleagues across different tasks as needed, given the flexible nature of food truck operations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues professionally and promptly
- Maintain proper food storage and rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Represent the EGAO brand with energy, friendliness, and professionalism at every service location
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or food truck operations is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a compact, fast-paced mobile kitchen environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Friendly, energetic personality suited to direct customer interaction
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, locations, and hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting supplies
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- A team-oriented mindset with willingness to take on multiple responsibilities as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic, evolving work environment
- UAE food service experience is an advantage but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates
