Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor the swimming pool, sun deck, and adjacent leisure areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations in line with Hilton’s brand standards and UAE health & safety codes.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, including water rescues and first-aid situations, using certified lifesaving techniques.
- Conduct daily checks of pool water quality, rescue equipment, and safety signage, reporting any issues to the Leisure Manager.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with towels, sun loungers, and general pool-area service requests.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and safety checklists as required by hotel policy.
- Support colleagues during peak occupancy periods, private events, and children’s pool activities.
- Participate in regular first-aid, CPR, and water-rescue refresher training provided by the hotel.
Requirements
- Valid Lifeguard certification (RLSS, NPLQ, or equivalent internationally recognised qualification).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous lifeguarding experience in a hotel, resort, or public pool setting is preferred.
- Strong swimming ability and physical fitness to perform water rescues confidently.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- A polished, guest-focused attitude suited to a luxury hospitality environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
