About the Role
As a Barista at Fairmont Hotel, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of coffee and beverage offerings to guests in the hotel’s café, lobby lounge, or F&B outlets. You’ll be the face of the coffee experience — someone guests remember for both the quality of their drink and the warmth of the interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present espresso-based beverages, specialty coffee, and tea according to Fairmont’s brand standards
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and related barista equipment
- Take guest orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the coffee station at all times
- Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables, and report shortages
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately during shifts
- Upsell food and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams during peak hours to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow all Fairmont hygiene, safety, and grooming standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience, ideally within a hotel or premium café setting
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- A warm, guest-focused personality with genuine attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- UAE hospitality experience preferred but not mandatory for strong candidates
