Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full range of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to consistent brand standards
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other barista equipment
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and recommend menu items or pairings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station throughout each shift
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately, following hotel cash-handling procedures
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables, and flag reorders in advance
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines at all times
- Support the wider F&B team during breakfast service, events, and busy periods
- Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to the outlet supervisor when needed
Requirements
- Previous barista or F&B service experience preferred, ideally within a hotel or branded café environment
- Solid working knowledge of espresso-based drinks and basic latte art is an advantage
- Friendly, energetic personality with genuine guest-service instincts
- Ability to stay composed and efficient during high-volume morning rushes
- Good spoken English; additional languages are a plus given Dubai’s international guest base
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as per hotel roster
- Basic food hygiene certification is a plus, or willingness to complete one upon hire
