About the Role

As a Waiter or Waitress at Maison Mathis, you will be responsible for delivering attentive, polished table service while maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere our regular guests know and love. This role requires strong product knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and genuine hospitality instincts.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly, providing menu guidance and recommendations
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen/bar
• Serve dishes and drinks following proper service sequence and etiquette
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Process bills and handle payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables throughout service
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service
• Handle guest feedback and minor complaints professionally, escalating when necessary
• Support opening and closing side duties as assigned
• Uphold brand standards of presentation, hygiene, and etiquette at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress, preferably in a café, bistro, or restaurant setting
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
• Well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong multitasking ability during busy service periods
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage pairing is an advantage
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends
