About the Role

As Barista, you will be responsible for preparing a full range of coffee and beverage offerings to a consistently high standard, engaging warmly with guests, and maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient coffee station. You’ll work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service, especially during busy breakfast and brunch periods when demand for quality coffee is at its peak.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and specialty beverages to brand standard
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, ensuring consistent quality and calibration
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and recommend beverages based on preference
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and surrounding service area
• Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and related supplies
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
• Support the wider F&B team during busy service periods, including breakfast and brunch rushes
• Handle guest payments accurately through the point-of-sale system
• Contribute ideas for seasonal beverage specials and menu improvements

Requirements

• Previous barista experience in a café, restaurant, or specialty coffee environment
• Solid knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial
• Ability to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required by restaurant hours
• Friendly, guest-focused personality with strong attention to detail
• Ability to stay efficient and composed during high-volume rush periods
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
