Ask around Dubai for a proper cup of karak or saffron chai late in the evening, and there’s a good chance Fili Cafe comes up. It’s one of those places that feels like part of daily life here. People stop by after work, after prayers, after a long drive, or just because it’s a good excuse to sit down with friends.
Now Fili Cafe is hiring Service Crew, and if you enjoy being around people and keeping things moving, this is a straightforward way into a well-known brand.
About Fili Cafe
Fili Cafe started in Dubai in 2004 and has grown from a small tea stall into a chain with outlets across the UAE and branches in other countries too. It’s best known for its Zafran (saffron) chai, along with a menu of South Asian street food such as chaats, wraps and parathas. The crowd is mixed, the pace is lively, and the menu is familiar to most guests, so you spend your time serving rather than explaining.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming guests with a smile and taking orders accurately.
- Serving tea, drinks and food quickly and politely, especially during the evening rush.
- Keeping tables, counters and the dining area clean and ready for the next guest.
- Handling the counter and payments through the POS when needed.
- Helping restock cups, napkins, ingredients and other supplies.
- Following food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Staying calm and friendly if a guest has a complaint, and passing bigger issues to your supervisor.
What helps your application
- Experience in a café, restaurant or fast-casual outlet. If you’re newer to the industry, say so honestly and show you’re ready to learn.
- Good basic English. Hindi, Urdu or Arabic is very useful with Fili Cafe’s customer mix.
- Energy and stamina. You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift.
- A neat appearance and a team-first attitude.
- Willingness to work shifts, including late evenings, weekends and holidays.
- The right to work in the UAE. Candidates already in the country usually get a quicker response.
Why it’s a good starting point
Busy cafés teach you the basics of service faster than almost anywhere else: reading a crowd, remembering orders, working with a team and staying polite when things get hectic. With a chain that has many outlets, those skills travel well. Package details like accommodation, transport or meals vary by role and outlet, so ask about them directly at the interview rather than assuming.
