About the Role

As a Barista at Emirates Leisure Retail, you’ll be the face of the brand at the counter — responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining consistency across every cup, and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest who walks through the door. You’ll work within a fast-paced, high-footfall environment where speed, precision, and hospitality all matter equally.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, specialty coffee, and other menu items to brand standards
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and related café equipment
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the counter and preparation area at all times
• Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately
• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and consumables, and report shortages
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines
• Support opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and station setup
• Work collaboratively with team members during peak hours to maintain fast, smooth service
• Uphold ELR’s brand and service standards consistently, even during high-volume periods

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista or in a similar café/F&B role (UAE experience preferred but not mandatory)
• Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art is an advantage
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude with the ability to stay composed under pressure
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Good physical stamina to work extended hours on your feet
• Basic food hygiene certification is a plus (or willingness to complete company training)
