One of Dubai’s most recognizable five-star addresses, the Sheraton Hotel, Mall of the Emirates, is currently hiring energetic and detail-oriented Baristas and Bar Staff to join its beverage service team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present coffee, espresso-based drinks, and specialty beverages to Sheraton brand standards
- Mix and serve classic and signature cocktails/mocktails at the bar counter with speed and precision
- Maintain full knowledge of the beverage menu, including ingredients, allergens, and recommended pairings
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and bar equipment, keeping them clean and correctly calibrated
- Manage stock levels for coffee beans, syrups, spirits, garnishes, and bar consumables
- Engage warmly with guests, take orders accurately, and upsell premium beverage options where appropriate
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately, following hotel cash-handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic bar/café station at all times, in line with HACCP standards
- Coordinate with F&B service and kitchen teams during peak periods to ensure smooth guest flow
- Report any equipment faults, stock shortages, or guest feedback to the outlet supervisor promptly
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Barista or Bar Staff, ideally within a hotel or high-volume café/bar environment
- Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and basic latte art is an advantage
- Working knowledge of classic cocktail recipes and responsible alcohol service
- Good spoken English; additional languages are a plus given the mall’s international footfall
- Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods during busy shifts
- Well-groomed, guest-focused, and able to stay composed under pressure
- Food and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain one) preferred
- Available to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
