About the Role
St. Regis Downtown Dubai is looking for a skilled and polished Barista to join its Food and Beverage team. This role requires more than technical coffee-making ability; it calls for someone who can deliver the refined, attentive service that defines the St. Regis brand. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve premium coffee and beverage items to St. Regis quality standards
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and related equipment to a high standard of cleanliness
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and impeccably clean barista station
- Handle transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system
- Monitor and manage stock levels of coffee and beverage supplies
- Build relationships with regular guests, remembering preferences for a personalized experience
- Uphold St. Regis grooming, presentation, and service standards at all times
- Follow strict food and beverage hygiene and safety protocols
- Support colleagues during peak periods to maintain consistent service quality
Requirements
- Previous barista experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Strong technical coffee preparation skills, including espresso extraction and milk texturing
- Polished, professional demeanor suited to a five-star hospitality environment
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Meticulous attention to detail and presentation
- A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and guest service
- UAE luxury hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates
