JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai — one of the tallest hotels in the world and a flagship property of Marriott International — is hiring a Barista to join its Food & Beverage team. This role is ideal for a coffee professional who takes genuine pride in craft, consistency, and guest interaction, within a 5-star international hotel environment known for its scale, standards, and career development culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full range of coffee and specialty beverages to Marriott’s brand standards
- Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines and barista equipment daily
- Greet and engage guests warmly, offering recommendations and building rapport
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain full cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards at the coffee station at all times
- Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and related supplies, and coordinate replenishment
- Support colleagues during peak periods and contribute to overall outlet service flow
- Follow all brand SOPs, food safety regulations, and hotel health & safety policies
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista, ideally within a hotel, café, or branded coffee outlet
- Solid knowledge of espresso-based beverages, latte art, and coffee brewing techniques
- Excellent guest service skills with a warm, professional demeanor
- Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced outlet
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Prior experience with international hotel brand standards is a plus
