| Employment Type | Full-time, shift-based |
| Salary & Package | As per company standards, confirmed at offer stage |
About the Role
Yas Island is home to theme parks, a racing circuit, beach clubs, concerts and big events, so the hotels around it are rarely quiet. As a Guest Services Receptionist, you’ll sit at the heart of that energy, welcoming arrivals, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering questions and solving small problems before they become big ones.
It’s a people-first job. You’ll meet families on holiday, couples on weekend breaks, business travellers and fans arriving for major events. Every one of them expects a smooth, friendly experience, and you’re the person who delivers it.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Greeting guests warmly and handling check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately.
- Managing reservations, room allocations and guest requests using the hotel’s property management system.
- Processing payments, deposits and billing queries with care and attention to detail.
- Answering questions about the hotel, the island, nearby attractions, transport and events.
- Coordinating with housekeeping, concierge, engineering and food and beverage teams to resolve guest needs quickly.
- Handling complaints calmly and professionally, and escalating to the duty manager when necessary.
- Keeping the front desk tidy and organised, with accurate handover notes between shifts.
- Promoting hotel services, upgrades and loyalty programmes in a natural, helpful way.
What You Need to Apply
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk, guest services or customer-facing role is preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English. Arabic or other languages are a strong plus.
- Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera, or the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Good communication skills and a naturally polite, patient manner.
- A neat appearance and a professional attitude.
- Comfort working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
- The ability to stay calm and organised when the lobby gets busy.
Skills That Make a Real Difference
Technical knowledge can be taught. What hotels truly value is how you make people feel. Listening carefully, remembering names, staying positive after a long shift and thinking one step ahead are the habits that turn a good receptionist into a great one. If you’ve worked in retail, airlines, restaurants or call centres, those experiences count too, so describe them clearly on your CV.
Why Yas Island Is a Great Place to Work
Few places in the UAE offer such a mix of entertainment and hospitality in one location. Working here means exposure to international guests, large-scale events and fast-paced operations that build your skills quickly. For anyone aiming to grow into roles like Guest Services Supervisor, Front Office Manager or Duty Manager, it’s an excellent training ground.

Hotel jobs in Abu Dhabi often come with a tax-free salary, accommodation or a housing allowance, staff meals, medical insurance, annual leave with flights and staff rates at partner hotels.
