DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join its Food & Beverage team. This is an excellent opportunity for a coffee-passionate professional to work within one of Abu Dhabi’s most recognisable international hotel brands, located on the vibrant Yas Island precinct alongside world-class entertainment, leisure, and hospitality destinations.
As a Barista, you will be the face of the hotel’s coffee and beverage experience, responsible for crafting quality drinks, delivering warm guest interactions, and maintaining the high service standards Hilton properties are known for globally. This role suits someone who takes pride in consistency, presentation, and genuine hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, to Hilton brand standards
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, equipment, and service area at all times
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment, reporting any faults promptly
- Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and related consumables, coordinating replenishment with supervisors
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards across all beverage preparation
- Support wider Food & Beverage outlet operations during peak periods, including light food service where required
- Build rapport with regular guests and residents, contributing to repeat visits and positive reviews
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth daily outlet operations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar F&B service role, preferably within a hotel or branded café environment
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including latte art being an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- A friendly, guest-focused attitude with a high standard of personal grooming
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Basic food hygiene certification is an advantage
- Team player mentality with a willingness to learn and grow within the Hilton network
