Service Crew Wanted – Daikan Izakaya

Daikan Izakaya, a buzzing Japanese-inspired dining and cocktail concept in Dubai, is looking for friendly and hardworking Service Crew members to join its front-of-house team. If you enjoy fast-paced restaurant environments, love working with people, and want to be part of a concept known for its energy and authentic izakaya experience, this role is for you.

Daikan blends traditional Japanese small-plate dining with a modern social atmosphere, meaning service staff play a huge part in shaping the guest experience — from the moment guests are seated to the last round of drinks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, seat, and guide guests through the menu with clear knowledge of dishes, sharing plates, and drink pairings
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the restaurant’s POS system
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring correct presentation and table setup
  • Anticipate guest needs — refilling drinks, clearing plates, and checking in without being intrusive
  • Support smooth table turnover during busy dinner and weekend service periods
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar teams to manage order timing and special requests
  • Handle guest questions, allergy concerns, and special occasion requests professionally
  • Assist with mise-en-place, table resets, and closing duties at the end of service
  • Process bill payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions responsibly
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the dining floor and service stations

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress, server, or service crew member in a restaurant or bar setting preferred
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-turnover dining environment
  • Good communication skills in English; Japanese or additional languages are a bonus but not required
  • Basic understanding of Japanese cuisine and dining etiquette is an advantage
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Well-presented, punctual, and able to stay calm and organized during peak hours
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by restaurant operations
  • Valid UAE-transferable visa or ability to be sponsored preferred

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive monthly salary plus service charge/tips share
  • Staff meals during shifts
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture within a growing F&B brand
  • Opportunities to cross-train across floor, bar, and host duties
  • Potential for growth into senior service or supervisory roles as the brand expands

Daikan Izakaya values team members who bring genuine warmth to the floor and can keep pace without losing attention to detail. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to grow within Dubai’s competitive but rewarding restaurant scene, especially those interested in Japanese hospitality culture.
