Lifeguard – Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, one of Dubai’s most recognised beachfront properties on the Jumeirah coastline, is hiring a Lifeguard to join its pool, beach, and waterpark safety team. This is a hands-on operational role for someone who takes water safety seriously, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys working in a high-energy resort environment where guest experience and safety go hand in hand.

The resort’s waterpark and private beach draw a constant mix of hotel guests, day-pass visitors, and families throughout the year, which means the lifeguard team is central to how safely and smoothly the property runs. If you hold a current lifeguard certification and want to work at one of Dubai’s flagship beach resorts, this role is worth a close look.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Continuously monitor swimming pools, waterpark attractions, and designated beach swimming areas for signs of distress or unsafe behaviour
  • Enforce pool, beach, and waterpark safety rules consistently and professionally with guests of all ages
  • Respond immediately to water-related emergencies, performing rescues, first aid, and CPR/AED procedures as required
  • Maintain assigned watch positions and rotate stations according to the daily deployment schedule
  • Check water clarity, depth markers, signage, and safety equipment at the start of every shift and report any hazards
  • Assist with crowd control and guest flow during peak hours, especially around waterpark slides and attractions
  • Support daily safety briefings and take part in scheduled emergency response drills
  • Communicate clearly with the wider recreation, security, and duty manager teams during incidents
  • Deliver friendly, attentive guest service while maintaining full situational awareness of the water at all times
  • Complete incident reports and shift logs accurately in line with resort standards

What You’ll Need

  • Valid lifeguard certification (e.g. NPLQ, RLSS, Ellis & Associates, or equivalent internationally recognised qualification)
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Previous lifeguarding experience in a hotel, resort, waterpark, or public pool setting is preferred
  • Strong swimming ability and physical fitness to perform rescues and sustained observation duties
  • Excellent concentration and the ability to stay alert during long, repetitive watch periods
  • Clear communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage given the resort’s international guest base
  • A calm, decisive manner under pressure and a genuine commitment to guest safety
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, as beach and waterpark operations run year-round

Why Join Le Meridien Mina Seyahi

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark is part of Marriott International’s global portfolio, giving employees access to structured training, internal transfer opportunities across Marriott properties worldwide, and a genuinely international team culture. Beyond the day-to-day, resort roles like this one typically come with benefits standard to Dubai’s five-star hospitality sector, including staff accommodation or housing allowance, transportation, medical insurance, duty meals, and annual leave with flight allowance — full details are confirmed during the interview and offer stage.

Who This Role Suits

This position suits candidates who already hold lifeguard certification and want to move into (or continue within) five-star resort operations, as well as experienced lifeguards currently working at other UAE hotels, clubs, or waterparks looking for a step up to a larger, higher-traffic property. Strong candidates treat lifeguarding as a discipline, not just a poolside job — constant scanning, quick judgment calls, and zero tolerance for distraction.
