About Spaniel Brasserie and Bar

Spaniel blends European brasserie dining with a buzzing bar program, drawing a crowd that spans relaxed lunches to lively evening bar service. The venue’s success depends on a front-of-house team that can shift energy smoothly from refined daytime service to a livelier evening crowd.

2.1 Bartender

Responsibilities: Prepare classic and signature cocktails to brand standard, manage bar stock and inventory, maintain a clean and organized bar station, engage guests with product knowledge and recommendations, and ensure responsible alcohol service.

Requirements: 2+ years of bartending experience, strong cocktail knowledge and speed under pressure, good stock and inventory management skills, engaging personality suited to guest-facing bar work, fluent English.

A day in the life: Bar setup and stock checks before opening, steady cocktail orders through the evening rush, engaging with guests seated at the bar, and closing duties including inventory counts and station breakdown.

2.2 Waiter

Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar for timely delivery, recommend pairings, maintain table standards, and process payments.

Requirements: 1–2 years of restaurant experience, strong menu and beverage pairing knowledge, ability to manage a full section during peak hours, fluent English.

A day in the life: Managing a section through lunch and dinner transitions, coordinating closely with the bar for drink orders, and keeping pace with a lively evening crowd without compromising on service quality.

2.3 Hostess

Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly at the entrance, manage reservations and waitlists, coordinate seating with the floor team, handle guest inquiries, and maintain an organized, welcoming front-of-house presence.

Requirements: 1+ years of hostess or front-of-house experience, excellent presentation and communication skills, reservation system familiarity, fluent English, flexible with evening shifts.

A day in the life: Managing the reservation book, confirming bookings, greeting arriving guests, and coordinating seating flow — especially during Spaniel’s busier evening bar hours when walk-ins pick up.

FAQ

Do bar roles require mixology certification? Not mandatory, but candidates with formal bartending or mixology training are given priority consideration.
