About the Role
As Warehouse Helper, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching FMCG goods. Accuracy and physical stamina matter here — Niru’s warehouse operations depend on goods being handled, stored, and moved correctly and efficiently to keep distribution schedules on track.
A Day in the Life
Your day typically begins with unloading incoming shipments, checking delivery quantities against purchase orders, and organizing goods into designated storage areas. Throughout the day, you’ll pick and pack orders for dispatch, load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, and assist with stock organization and shelving. You’ll also support periodic stock counts, help maintain a clean and organized warehouse floor, and flag any damaged or expiring goods to the warehouse supervisor. Physical tasks like lifting, carrying, and operating manual pallet equipment are a regular part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Organize and store FMCG goods according to warehouse layout and stock rotation principles
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch accurately and on schedule
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely
- Support regular stock counts and report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trolleys) as required
- Flag damaged, expired, or near-expiry stock to the supervisor
- Follow all health and safety protocols during warehouse operations
Requirements
- Prior warehouse or general labor experience preferred, FMCG industry experience a plus
- Physically fit and able to lift and move goods regularly
- Basic understanding of stock organization and FIFO principles
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately
- Basic communication skills in English
- Willingness to work structured warehouse shifts, including occasional overtime during high-volume periods
