Marriott’s Mina’s Kitchen is one of Dubai’s most recognisable all-day dining concepts, known for its open-kitchen theatre, seafood counters, and a coffee and beverage program that keeps guests coming back long after breakfast service ends. The outlet is now hiring a Barista to join its beverage team — someone who treats a cup of coffee the way a chef treats a plate: with precision, pride, and a bit of flair.
If you already know your way around a group head, understand milk texture the way a baker understands dough, and can hold a calm, friendly presence during a slammed breakfast rush, this role is built around you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing espresso-based beverages, specialty coffee, and tea service to Marriott brand standards
- Operating and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and beverage equipment, including basic daily cleaning and calibration checks
- Engaging guests at the coffee counter — taking orders, offering recommendations, and creating a warm first impression at the start of their meal
- Managing stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables, and flagging reorders before they run low
- Working closely with servers and the kitchen team to keep beverage timing aligned with food service
- Maintaining hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards across the coffee station at all times
- Supporting occasional promotions, seasonal beverage launches, or in-house tastings led by the F&B team
What Marriott Is Looking For
- Previous experience as a barista, coffee bar attendant, or similar beverage-service role, ideally in a hotel or high-volume café environment
- Solid grasp of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working fast-paced mornings without losing attention to detail or guest warmth
- Good spoken English; additional languages are a plus given Dubai’s international guest mix
- A tidy, hygiene-conscious approach to workstations and equipment
- Team-first attitude — this role sits inside a busy F&B outlet, not a standalone coffee shop
- Flexibility to work hotel shift patterns, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
Why Join Mina’s Kitchen
Working under the Marriott name means structured training, brand-standard service exposure, and a career path that can move across departments and even across properties globally. Hotel F&B experience is one of the most transferable credentials in Dubai’s hospitality market — recruiters recognise the discipline and consistency that comes with brand-standard training, and it’s a strong stepping stone toward supervisory, senior barista, or beverage-specialist roles down the line.
Beyond the resume value, it’s simply a good place to build real coffee craft. High guest volume means constant repetition, which is exactly how baristas sharpen speed and consistency. And because the outlet is part of a larger hotel operation, there’s more structure, more equipment investment, and generally better support than a standalone café can offer.
