Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full range of espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and specialty drinks to consistent quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other bar equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Greet and engage customers warmly, offering recommendations and building genuine rapport with regulars.
- Accurately process orders and handle cash and card transactions through the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar throughout each shift.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and cups, flagging low stock to the shift supervisor.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and UAE municipality health regulations at all times.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and cash reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the wider F&B team during peak hours to maintain fast, friendly service.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of barista experience, ideally in a specialty coffee shop or cafe environment.
- Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art is a strong advantage.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service instincts.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay composed during busy rush periods.
- Basic food safety knowledge; formal certification is a plus.
- Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage given the diverse customer base.
- Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- UAE-based candidates or those able to relocate with a valid work permit preferred.
