Some retail jobs are about moving stock. This one is about building relationships. Dior is hiring a Senior Sales Associate in the UAE, and the role sits at the point where luxury, patience and real people skills meet.
Dior is the French luxury house founded by Christian Dior in 1946, known worldwide for couture, leather goods, accessories and beauty. In a city like Dubai, where clients travel often and have seen the best boutiques in the world, the quality of the person behind the counter makes all the difference. If you already work in luxury retail and feel ready for more responsibility, this could be your next step.
Company: Dior
Position: Senior Sales Associate
Location: UAE
Industry: Luxury fashion and retail
What this role is really about
A Senior Sales Associate is not just a salesperson with a longer title. You are one of the experienced people on the boutique floor, the one colleagues turn to when a client has a complicated request and the one the manager trusts with important customers. You are expected to sell well, but also to set the standard for how the boutique feels.
Clients in luxury retail rarely want to be pushed. They want to be understood. The best associates listen first, remember the small details and make the visit feel personal from the moment someone walks in.
Your main responsibilities
- Welcoming every client warmly and delivering a polished, personal service experience
- Understanding client needs and recommending pieces with confidence and honesty
- Reaching and exceeding individual and team sales targets
- Building a client book and staying in touch with loyal customers through follow-ups and after-sales care
- Keeping detailed product knowledge about collections, materials, craftsmanship and the brand story
- Maintaining visual standards, stock presentation and boutique cleanliness
- Supporting and guiding junior team members on the shop floor
- Working closely with the boutique manager on daily operations and clienteling plans
What helps you get shortlisted
- Proven experience in luxury retail, whether in fashion, leather goods, beauty, jewellery or watches
- A track record of meeting sales targets and building repeat clients
- Excellent English, with Arabic, French or other languages being a real advantage
- A professional, well-groomed appearance and a calm, confident presence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay patient with demanding situations
- Comfort using a POS system and client management tools
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and busy retail seasons
Why this job is worth applying for
Working for a global luxury house gives you more than a pay cheque. You learn how a world-class brand handles training, service standards and client care, and that experience stays with you for the rest of your career. You also work alongside colleagues who care about details, which quietly pushes your own standards higher. A senior position also opens the door to bigger roles later, such as Team Leader, Assistant Boutique Manager or client advisor positions.
The honest part: luxury retail is demanding. Standing for long hours, staying polished when the boutique is packed and handling high expectations is not for everyone. But if you enjoy it, there are few retail environments that feel as rewarding.
Tips to get noticed
- Name the luxury or premium brands you have worked with and the categories you sold
- Add real numbers where you can, such as monthly sales results, client retention or awards
- Show that you have led or trained colleagues, even informally
- Use a clean, simple CV with a professional photo and no spelling mistakes
- Prepare for a role play interview where you might be asked to handle a client situation
- Keep your answers about past sales achievements honest and specific, because experienced interviewers can tell the difference
- Check that your documents and visa status are in order, so you can respond quickly if they call
- Learn a little about Dior’s history, collections and boutique style before you go
