Barista Wanted – Warehouse Gym

If you love the smell of fresh espresso and you would rather spend your shift around people who take their health seriously, this one might suit you. Warehouse Gym is hiring a Barista in Dubai, and it is a refreshing change from the usual café routine.

About the role

A gym café is a different world. Members walk in after a heavy session, or before one, and they want something quick, tasty and made right. Protein shakes, iced lattes, flat whites, healthy snacks. Some will chat for a minute, some just want their drink and a smile. As the barista, you are the friendly face behind the counter who keeps that energy going.

It is a good option if you already have café experience and want a steadier, more relaxed environment than a busy mall coffee shop. It also works if you are newer to the trade but quick to learn and happy to be on your feet.

What you will be doing

  • Preparing espresso-based drinks, cold brews, smoothies and shakes to the standard the team expects
  • Greeting members and guests warmly and taking their orders accurately
  • Handling the till, cash and card payments with care
  • Keeping the coffee station, machines and counter spotless throughout the shift
  • Checking stock of milk, beans, syrups and cups, and letting your supervisor know before things run out
  • Following food safety and hygiene rules at all times
  • Helping your teammates when it gets busy, because a gym café can go from quiet to packed in minutes

What they are looking for

  • Previous barista or café experience is preferred, but a good attitude counts for a lot
  • Good knowledge of coffee preparation and basic latte art is a big plus
  • Clear communication in English; Arabic or other languages are a bonus
  • A neat, presentable appearance and a genuinely friendly manner
  • Ability to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Valid UAE visa status or the ability to transfer, depending on the employer’s requirements

Why this job could be a good fit

Working inside a fitness environment has its own perks. The crowd is usually positive and motivated, the atmosphere is upbeat, and you may get to learn a thing or two about nutrition and healthy drinks along the way. For anyone building a career in hospitality, a barista role at a recognised brand is a solid line on your CV.

Many people in Dubai start as baristas and grow into senior barista, shift leader or café supervisor positions. If you show up on time, stay consistent and learn the menu properly, those doors tend to open.

Salary and benefits

The exact salary was not something we could confirm for this post, so please check the original advertisement for the latest figures. In general, café roles in Dubai often come with a basic salary plus benefits such as accommodation or an allowance, meals on duty, and sometimes tips. Always ask about the full package during your interview so there are no surprises later.

What a typical shift feels like

You arrive, check the machine, grind settings and milk, and get the station ready before the first rush. Mornings are often about quick coffees for people heading to work. Evenings bring post-workout shakes and a more social crowd. In between, you restock, clean and prepare for the next wave.

How to apply

Update your CV first. Keep it to one page and put your café experience at the top, with the machines and drinks you have worked with. Add a clear photo if that is common practice, and make sure your phone number and email are correct.

Then apply through the official channel mentioned in the original job listing. If a walk-in is mentioned, go early, dress neatly and bring printed copies of your CV and passport and visa copies.
