About the Role
Hotel Indigo Dubai is currently hiring an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join its Food and Beverage department. This role goes beyond simply preparing coffee. As a Barista at Hotel Indigo, you will be an ambassador for the hotel’s brand personality, engaging with guests, crafting quality beverages, and contributing to a warm and memorable café or lounge experience. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in coffee preparation combined with natural people skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and beverage items to a consistently high standard, including espresso-based drinks, specialty coffee, and other beverages on the menu
Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning at all times
Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked barista station in line with hotel hygiene and safety standards
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and communicate reorder needs to the supervisor
Follow all food and beverage safety standards, including proper handling and storage of perishable items
Build rapport with regular guests, remembering preferences to create a more personalized experience
Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute positively to overall team performance
Assist with basic pastry or light food service where required, depending on outlet setup
Participate in ongoing training sessions to refine barista techniques and product knowledge
Uphold Hotel Indigo’s brand standards in appearance, communication, and guest interaction
Requirements
Previous experience as a Barista, ideally within a hotel, café, or branded coffee outlet, is preferred
Solid understanding of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction and milk texturing
Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency
Basic knowledge of food and beverage hygiene standards
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage given Dubai’s diverse guest base
A tidy, professional appearance in line with hotel grooming standards
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within the department
UAE hospitality experience is an advantage but not mandatory for the right candidate
