Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, known globally for its boutique storytelling concept that draws inspiration from the neighbourhood it sits in. Located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, the property blends contemporary design with warm, personalised hospitality, and its food and beverage outlets are a central part of the guest experience. The hotel is now looking to welcome an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join its F&B team.

About the Role

As Barista, you will be the face of the hotel’s coffee experience, crafting specialty beverages to IHG’s brand standards while creating a warm, memorable connection with every guest who visits the outlet. This is more than pulling shots and steaming milk — Hotel Indigo’s brand identity is rooted in local storytelling, and baristas are expected to bring genuine personality and neighbourhood character into every interaction. You’ll work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment where consistency, presentation, and product knowledge all matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present coffee and specialty beverages according to IHG and brand quality standards
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked barista station throughout each shift
• Deliver friendly, attentive, and personalised guest service at every touchpoint
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
• Upsell food and beverage items where appropriate, supporting outlet revenue targets
• Follow all hygiene, food safety, and hotel health & safety protocols
• Collaborate with F&B colleagues and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with stock counts, ordering, and wastage control as required
• Represent Hotel Indigo’s brand voice and local storytelling concept in guest interactions

Requirements

• Previous barista or F&B service experience, ideally within a hotel or specialty coffee environment
• Strong knowledge of espresso-based drinks, milk texturing, and latte art is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
• A warm, guest-first attitude with genuine attention to detail
• Ability to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and work in a high-volume outlet
• Team player with a positive, can-do approach under pressure
