About the Role

As a Waitress at Shanghai Me, you will be the face of the guest experience — greeting diners, guiding them through the menu, taking accurate orders, and ensuring every table receives attentive, well-timed service from arrival to departure. The role demands someone who can stay composed during peak dinner service, multitask across several tables, and maintain a polished, professional presence throughout long service hours typical of Dubai’s fine-dining and lifestyle restaurant scene.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and present menus, specials, and beverage pairings with confidence
• Take food and drink orders accurately using the restaurant’s POS system
• Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, correct order delivery
• Anticipate guest needs, refill drinks, clear courses, and manage table turnover smoothly
• Handle guest questions, special requests, and dietary requirements professionally
• Process bills accurately and handle payments, including cash and card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across the section at all times
• Support colleagues during high-volume periods and assist with opening/closing duties
• Uphold Shanghai Me’s brand standards for grooming, tone, and guest interaction

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waitress/server in a busy restaurant, lounge, or fine-dining venue (UAE experience preferred)
• Excellent spoken English; additional languages are an advantage given Dubai’s diverse clientele
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service etiquette
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by restaurant operations
• Well-groomed, confident, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
